Erica's Cricut Craft Room Would you guess… Wednesdays

I can not believe that it's Thanksgiving already ..... This is my last fall project for 2011
I Love being on the DT for Erica ..... On Wednesday's  we use ONLY the features on the cartridges. What this means is when you look at the handbook, you cannot use the main image on the left side of the page. But you can use ALL of the other features or layers. I found this old Disney Paper in my stash .... So then I knew I would use the Mickey's Font Cartridge .... I chose to use the End Cap Feature for the title at 2 1/2" .... I have used the End Cap before they have a few other choices.... Then I knew I need pluto's paws from Mickey and Friends I used the Icon Border at 1" so now all I have to do is take a photo of the food and group shot of the Family and add it to our 2011 book.

I wish all my Friends a Happy Thanksgiving .....and bring on the christmas rush. I'm not ready but will be soon ....

Cricut Cartridge Imagine Art Cartridge Enjoy The Season Cut the layers on E2  @ 3.5 "
American Crafts Elements Ribbon
Three bugs in a Rug  stamp and  Memento tuxedo black ink
I got my idea to match my light rose card stock to the ribbon  by a technique Erica's has shown on  (ustream Ericascraftroom) I sprayed Glimmer mist by Tattered Angels Crandberry Zing and Snow Qween the rubbed with paper towel . ( Erica has done this with other inks) Then let my card dry before I added the Orange Layer......

100 Cricut Cartridge Blog Hop

Welcome to Erica's  Cricut Craft Room's 100 Cartridge  Blog Hop Day 2
You should have come from
Connie    if not please start at the beginning

Today I wanted to share with you projects I  made for Thanksgiving this year.
This year I want to really focus on being grateful for what we have. My family has had
to long year of ups and downs. This year I'm Thankful our nephew survived a major illness,
my brother in law and his family have been close to us thru Skype and made a few trips from
Korea. My husband connected with a son who he never met and my kids have a new big half brother.
I hope you have a blessing to be thankful for this year as it has gone by so fast.....

I used Fancy Frames , Word Collage,  Autmn Celebrations and Buccaneer
I cut the Frame Base 5 1/2" out of thin chip board and card stock.  I then used CCR to use Word Collage and Buccaneer to color the words at 5 and 4 1/2 " in red , orange and yellow. I stoped the imagine after the prining before cutting.  I had
a hard time cutting this image that when I came up with using CCR and the imagine.
I the cut the Arcorn from Autumn Celebrations at 3 1/2 "
add the buttons and twine to hang.

Next I used Martha Stewart Seasonal Cake Art to make this Banner.
I used my Gyspy to weld the image together. It was in a group of  3 leaves @ 4"
I love this font ( same cartridge) .... I placed the 1" Letters inside the image  using the Gyspy.
the cut on a  12 x 24 " mat and paper  is from Provo Craft
My last project for Today is my Turkey from Enjoy the Seasons . I used the Imagine and printed and cut at 3 1/2 " and the cut layers to pop dot and added an eye. These are doing to be wraped around the silverware.  I still have to name the turkeys .....

My Cricut Craft Room.... Festive Friday !!!

This Year I wanted to make something with my kids to give to their teacher for Thanksgiving break...

I'm calling these Grateful Boxes we are putting in a note to the teacher and a yummy surprize !!
I made the box from Sweet Tooth Boxs  fit to Page on a 12x12 mat.  Paper is from DCWV Autumn Splendor ( Joanns) The "L" is cut from Speaking of Fall Cartridge at 2" 4 times 4 colors , Hat was cut from Autumn Celebrations 2"
My goal is to teach my kids what the meaning of Thanksgiving is not just 5 days off of school !!!
We have had a tough year with in my family but we still are very grateful for what we have. I'm making it a point this year to not let Thanksgiving Pass this year as a day in November and then comes christmas....

Please come back this weekend to the 100 Cartridge Blog Hop I will be posting more Thanksgiving ...

Thanks for checking in on my Blog ....

My Cricut Craft Room... Would You Guess Wednesday ????

For My Daughters 13th Birthday I dusted off the Cricut Cake
She needs a Gluten Free Cake
Her theme was Justin Beiver , Purple and Teal with Peace , Love and Music

Rub on some shortening on the mat and roll out Fondant up to 1/2" thick
Tip if Fondant is too hard put in mircowave for 10 sec to warm.
I choose Rock Princess Cartridge pg 57 Feature Key Phrase cut at 4"

I used the Gyspy to match up the shapes and fondant on mat before I cut
I needed some extra Peace signs so I used the hide key on Gyspy  to cut the peace sign at 4.5"
Tip remove the extra fondant around the cut
Let it sit on mat for a few minutes before you remove so it keeps the shape.
Here they are drying .. I then added pearl dust ( got at cake shop) to add Bling.
Finished CAKE !!!!!

Thanks for visiting today... I have been sick for awhile and missing in action from my Cricut and Followers... I'm going to be around more as my body and pain allows...I'm working on the Haunted House to be posted before Halloween and the 100 Cartridge Hop on Nov 5th and my posting on the 6th...

I cut the sign @ 2 1/2 " . I then used Summer Vacation Cartridge for the Campground sign. I used the hide feature on the gyspy to hide the letters and make a solid banner for behind. Paper is Bo Bunny 12" Roughin It. Wood Paper is from Creative Imaginations.
I used the H20 Cartridge The water slide is cut @ 6 "  Splish Splash  is cut @ 3"
