My Cricut Craft Room... Would You Guess Wednesday ????

For My Daughters 13th Birthday I dusted off the Cricut Cake
She needs a Gluten Free Cake
Her theme was Justin Beiver , Purple and Teal with Peace , Love and Music

Rub on some shortening on the mat and roll out Fondant up to 1/2" thick
Tip if Fondant is too hard put in mircowave for 10 sec to warm.
I choose Rock Princess Cartridge pg 57 Feature Key Phrase cut at 4"

I used the Gyspy to match up the shapes and fondant on mat before I cut
I needed some extra Peace signs so I used the hide key on Gyspy  to cut the peace sign at 4.5"
Tip remove the extra fondant around the cut
Let it sit on mat for a few minutes before you remove so it keeps the shape.
Here they are drying .. I then added pearl dust ( got at cake shop) to add Bling.
Finished CAKE !!!!!

Thanks for visiting today... I have been sick for awhile and missing in action from my Cricut and Followers... I'm going to be around more as my body and pain allows...I'm working on the Haunted House to be posted before Halloween and the 100 Cartridge Hop on Nov 5th and my posting on the 6th...

All My Best

  1. Fabulous! I made a "peace" cake for my daughter last year but it didn't turn out as nice as yours. How do you keep the layers from sinking? TFS:-)
